HIP Magazine

HIP magazine is the name of a local underground subculture fanzine that was published in L.A. during the late 80's/early 90's by Vladik Cervantes. It went into local distribution after he was given an interview with the U.K. punk band, GBH. HIP quickly gained local notoriety and even received a following as far away as Italy, France, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Just to name a few examples of many, HIP gained attention on radio stations (K-XLU 88.9), other magazines (Foetus Acid, Zombie Zoo, Fringe F***), inside album sleeves (Ex-VoTo), in books (Mick Mercer's Gothic Rock Book), and now,..it's on the Internet!
