The Electric Night

The electric night rolled in.

Like fog.

Like an opium dream.

Screaming euphoria in our ears,
and I was walking madness.

Girls walked gently with bottles of
Whiskey.
The men in blue turned in their badges
and I shouted.

I yelled.

I stomped my feet.

I killed all sanity.

Dressed in my sheets of black velvet.
Shouting madness,
Letting it all shoot out.
Watching the cars stroll by on the
boulevard.

And you came along
made my world an asylum
and I kissed you.

stole your dreams

handcuffed your soul to mine
and threw away the stinking key.

You know where I'm coming from.
